I was very excited to read recently that there was a penguin colony in Port Macdonnell, where I am starting my journey along the South Australian coast. I was looking forward to watching them and photographing them. Then I was shocked to read that the colony had been wiped out by a fox, and was unlikely to be re-established. Rotten foxes! So, today, I was happy to see that someone has done something to rid us of at least some of these horrible creatures. Port Macdonnell is lovely, but it would have been better with penguins.
